How to set a template for uСoz?

For all newbies!

I will help you and share my experience of setting templates on uCoz. First thing you need to do is to download the template from our website by pressing “Download” button.

Zip-archive usually consists of folders like [ css ] with fixes for the correct display of the early versions in Internet Explorer.

There is also a folder [ images ] or [ img ] with images, [ js ] folder that contains JavaScripts, tmpl.txt files and stylesheet (CSS).txt that maintains the skeleton code for the template and set of styles.

I will also insert file readME in each archive with setup instructions of the downloaded template. Let's start!

1. When you register the website on ucoz.com, you get access to FTP server. Copy the folders “images” or "img", "css", "js" and paste them in the root of the server. You can always find host, login ans FTP password in the Control panel of the website.

2. Copy the code of the styles "stylesheet (CSS).txt" and save it with the help of menu item “Design management (CSS)”.

3. Copy the code of the skeleton and insert it in the menu item “Template builder”.

Attention!!!! For the correct display of the skeleton of some (!) templates you need to insert the tag (Control panel->Common settings):
